The OCA has said that the new dates for the Asian Games have been announced after due deliberation. In a statement issued here, the OCA said, “The task force has held extensive discussions over the past two months with the China Olympic Committee (COC), Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (HAGOC) and other stakeholders to find an appropriate time to organize the Games.” did. The holding of these games was to be kept separate from the dates of other major international sporting events.
