KP Oli made this statement while addressing a program on the occasion of International Yoga Day at his residence. Oli said Indian experts have been hiding facts about it. The India that exists now was not there in the past. At that time India was divided into different factions. Also said that India, divided into factions, was like a continent or subcontinent at that time.
This is not the first time when KP Oli’s tongue slipped, he had termed India’s Ayodhya as fake. Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has become an object of mockery due to his controversial statement. KP Sharma Oli had said that Lord Ram was born in Nepal.
He said that we have been culturally suppressed. The facts have been tampered with. We still believe that we gave Sita to the Indian prince Rama. But we did not give Sita to the prince of Ayodhya of India. The real Ayodhya is a village located to the west of Birgunj, not the one it is now built upon. Since this statement, KP Sharma Ol was made fun of not only in India but also on the social media of Nepal.
Indian saint society had condemned
Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Oli was strongly condemned by the Indian Sant Samaj for calling Lord Ram a Nepali. He reacted sharply to this. The saints had appealed to the Government of India to express their protest to the Government of Nepal.
Yoga day started from 2015
