Shubhranshu Roy, son of BJP leader Mukul Roy, wrote a Facebook post on Saturday night. It said that there is a need to introspect on oneself before criticizing the government which has gained public support. Stop criticizing the elected government and introspect.
Please tell that Shubhranshu Roy joined BJP in 2019, except Trinamool Congress. In the recent assembly elections, he contested from Bijpur constituency on a BJP ticket, but lost.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bengal to take stock of the devastation of cyclone Yas, where he also held a review meeting in the state. In this meeting, the Chief Minister of the state Mamata Banerjee arrived 30 minutes late and the list demanding the assistance of 20 thousand crore rupees was handed over to the PM. BJP leaders surrounded Mamta fiercely about this. After this Mamta Banerjee also gave her clarification.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that it is not necessary that a Chief Minister reach every time to receive the Prime Minister. On the matter that made the Prime Minister wait, Mamta has said that she had to wait there herself (in the PM’s meeting). Mamta Banerjee told that when we reached Sagar, we got information that we will have to wait for 20 minutes more because PM Modi’s helicopter was yet to take off. He was aware of our schedule, yet made us wait. We waited for them at the helipad.
Since this incident, the BJP has begun to surround the Chief Minister of Bengal. The BJP has said that Mamata has insulted the dignity of the Prime Minister and has acted against the constitution bypassing the federal model.
