Before the UP assembly elections, while the government is focusing on providing government jobs, on the other hand, there is a preparation to connect people of semi-skilled labor level with employment by giving jobs on honorarium to more than one lakh posts in various government departments.

The government has started recruitment on honorarium in some departments to provide employment to educated unemployed, women and people of semi-skilled labor level in villages itself.
Recently, the cabinet has decided to appoint a Panchayat Secretary cum Accountant in every Gram Panchayat in more than 58 thousand Gram Panchayats. Each Panchayat Secretary will be given a monthly honorarium of Rs. The Chief Minister has given instructions to complete this process in six months, so before the elections, more than 58 thousand youth will get employment on honorarium in the villages.
More than 22 thousand female mates will be appointed to supervise the work in MNREGA. The women mate will be selected through women self-help groups operated under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. Each female mate will get an honorarium of Rs.8,400 per month plus an honorarium. Under MGNREGA rules, there is a provision for the appointment of a mate to supervise the work of 50 workers.
The state government has decided to appoint 50 percent female mates. At present, more than 22 lakh workers are working in MNREGA every day in the state. In such a situation, about 44 thousand mates are to be appointed, out of which 22 thousand women mates will be appointed.
The female mate will be given an honorarium of 26 days in a month at the rate of a semi-skilled labor (Rs 320 to 405) per day. MNREGA Additional Commissioner Yogesh Kumar said that the exercise of appointment of mate through the mission has started. The mates will also be given training for their functioning.
The state government will provide community toilets to women for maintenance of community toilets and to make them a source of income for women. Women of 35,512 gram panchayats, women self-help groups, will be given the responsibility of running toilets.
A woman of the group will be given an honorarium of six thousand rupees and an additional three thousand rupees a month for buying cleaning materials and equipment in the toilet.
