During the Corona transition period, the government has given great relief to the students of engineering and diploma. The government has decided that in the new session 2021-22, only the pre-determined fee will be effective. Colleges will not be able to increase any kind of fee in the new session.

According to the Secretary and Chairman, Admission Fee Regulation Committee, in view of the extraordinary circumstances arising due to Corona, it has been decided that 750 engineering colleges affiliated to AKTU and 1247 diploma level and 19 aided institutions in private sector affiliated to Council of Technical Education. In the ongoing courses, the fee prescribed in the previous sessions will be effective for the session 2021-22 also.

There is no increase in the pre-determined fee. A related order has been issued in this regard. About 2.50 lakh students of AKTU and 02 lakh students of diploma will be affected by this decision of the government. This will be a big relief for them during the Covid transition period. However, students are also demanding deduction in fees, which they have not used throughout the year.
