Today is the fifth day of the Tokyo Olympics. Indian athletes will present their challenge from India in many events including Shooting, Hockey, Table Tennis, Badminton, Sailing, Boxing. The fourth day was quite disappointing for India.

Today is the fifth day of the Tokyo Olympics. Indian athletes will be expected to do better on Day 5 after losing several events on Day 4 tomorrow. On the fifth day, India made a good start in shooting. Manu Bhaker Saurabh Chaudhary reached the second stage of the mixed doubles of 10m air pistol. But in the second round, the team comprising Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary had to face defeat. On the other hand, Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal were eliminated in the first round itself. Apart from this, Sharath Kamal will compete with his Chinese opponent for a place in the next round. At the same time, the Indian men’s hockey team will take the field with the intention of registering a win over Spain. Elavenil Valarivan Divyansh Singh Panwar and Anjum Moudgil Deepak Kumar will try their luck for a medal in the mixed team event of rifle.
Manu Bhaker-Saurabh Chaudhary reach second round
India got off to a good start on the fourth day of the Tokyo Olympics. In the team event of 10m Air Pistol event, India’s Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary made it to the second round. Both these Indian shooters performed brilliantly. While Yashaswini Singh and Abhishek Verma disappointed he failed to make it to the second stage.
Manu-Saurabh pair lost in second round
The team of Saurabh Choudhary and Manu Bhaker, who registered a resounding victory in the first round, suffered a defeat in the second round of the qualifiers. In the second round, Manu Bhaker did not appear in the rhythm and his score was 186. During this, Saurabh scored 194 points while performing well. But all this was not enough to qualify. Thus ended India’s challenge in the mixed team event of the 10m air pistol event.
