Trinamool Congress MP Shantanu Sen was on Friday suspended for the remainder of the ongoing Rajya Sabha session for his indecent conduct in the House. After this, there was disruption in Parliament due to uproar by members of Trinamool and other opposition parties. Therefore, after two adjournments, the proceedings of the House were adjourned.

As soon as the proceedings of the House began at 11 am, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, referring to the incident on Thursday, described it as indecent. The Chairman said that what happened yesterday definitely affected the dignity of the House.

TMC MPs created ruckus
Significantly, on Thursday, Information Technology and Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was giving a statement in the House on the issue of alleged spying of Indians through Pegasus. At the same time, MPs from TMC and some other opposition parties came near the podium creating ruckus and started raising slogans. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress member Shantanu Sen snatched the copy of the statement from the hands of the Union Minister and threw it into pieces. Deputy Chairman Harivansh requested the members who were creating ruckus not to behave unparliamentarily, but they were not listened to.
