What is mis
Dr. Preetha Joshi, Pediatric Care Specialist of Kokila Ben Hospital, Mumbai, says that this syndrome occurs in children suffering from severe infection of corona. They experience such discomfort between two to six weeks after the child is cured of the infection.
It is estimated that the body’s immunity becomes highly active after infection in children. Due to this, children are struggling with this problem after getting healthy.
Damage to main body parts
Dr. Pritha says that the main body parts of children who are prone to MIS may suffer. In this, damage to the heart, kidneys, digestive system, brain, blood vessels, skin, and eyes is possible with the lungs. MIS also causes tissue breakdown due to inflammation in the body.
Recognize symptoms of MIS
After beating the corona, be alert if the child has any symptoms related to swelling, intestine, heart, brain, skin, kidney between two to six weeks. This can cause thrombosis (blood clot). The ability of the heart and kidney to function can also be affected. Due to this, the child’s discomfort will increase.

If the child shows signs of MIS, the doctor may perform a chest X-ray, an ultrasound of the heart, an echocardiogram, and an abdominal ultrasound with some blood tests. Through this test, it is found out which part of the body is swollen.

- Protect the surface from touching, disinfect the surface
- Wash baby’s clothes, clean his toys too
Early detection is the only option
Severe synthesis of Kovid-19 in children is bringing about two changes. The child may develop pneumonia or develop MIS-C condition, whose early detection is the only option. During the first wave, the children were infected and after that more than two thousand cases of MIS-C were found across the country. The parents need to pay special attention to the routine of the children who have been cured of the infection.
