On Wednesday, the eighth day of the monsoon session of Parliament, the opposition parties continued the ruckus. News agency ANI, quoting sources, has reported that Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury met Speaker Om Birla after the uproar by opposition MPs. He urged the Speaker not to suspend the MPs and told them that the MPs were raising the concerns of the people and the government was not listening to the opposition MPs.

Congress sources said Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has assured that there will be no suspension for the time being.

Let us tell you that on the issue of Pegasus espionage scandal, Corona tragedy, the opposition’s position remained sharp. Leaders of 14 opposition parties, including the Congress, discussed the strategy to surround the government and create pressure. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi and many other leaders also gave adjournment notice in Lok Sabha on Pegasus issue.

The proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till Thursday due to continuous uproar by the opposition members. ANI quoted sources as saying that some MPs may be suspended for displaying indecent behavior towards the Speaker’s chair in the Lok Sabha and throwing pieces of paper. The names of these MPs are Gurjit Singh Aujla, TN Prathapan, Manickam Tagore, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Hibi Eden, Jyotimani Sennimalai, Saptagiri Shankar Ulaka, V Vaithilingam and AM Arif.

In the Lok Sabha, MPs of opposition parties tore pamphlets and raised slogans against the government. During this, once again the slogans of Khela Hobe were raised. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey demanded removal of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor from the post of IT committee chairman amid heavy uproar in Lok Sabha. He has accused Shashi Tharoor of arbitrariness. Also said that we will not participate in the meeting till Tharoor is removed.

Rahul Gandhi said – no compromise on espionage scandal
The opposition is attacking the government over the Pegasus espionage scandal. Leaders of opposition parties are demanding answers from the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on this matter. At the same time, the government says that the opposition neither wants to allow the house to function nor does it want to discuss. After the meeting of the opposition parties, Rahul Gandhi said that Pegasus will not make any compromise on the espionage scandal. In this regard, notices will be given by 14 parties.

According to media reports, the opposition was divided on different issues, but after this meeting, the entire opposition is preparing to unite and surround the government on the issue of Pegasus espionage.
