After two splits in the Lok Janshakti Party, Pashupati Paras was elected unopposed as the national president. A formal announcement was also made in the LJP office. After becoming the president, Paras targeted his nephew Chirag Paswan.

After becoming the president, Pashupati Paras reached the LJP office in Patna along with the five MPs and other leaders. There he garlanded the picture of the late leader and elder brother Ram Vilas Paswan and Ramchandra Paswan. Pashupati Paras said that the people of my party have entrusted big responsibility, I assure that the trust of the party and the public will never be broken. During this, Pashupati Paras also mentioned about elder brother Ram Vilas Paswan. Paras said that the elder brother’s dream was to bring a change in the lives of the downtrodden sections of the society, I will do everything possible to fulfill the elder brother’s dream.
Meeting held at Surajbhan Singh’s residence
Earlier, a meeting of LJP leader Suraj Bhan Singh was held at his residence in Kankarbagh TV Tower for over four hours. In this, 10 proposers named Paras for the national president of the party. Suraj Bhan Singh said that Pashupati Paras has been elected unopposed as the president of the party. The decision was taken in the executive committee meeting that lasted from 11 am to 3 pm on Thursday. 71 members gave their support by one vote.
LJP divided into two factions
In fact, for the last few days, the battle for the occupation of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) was going on. The party split between uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras and nephew Chirag Paswan. Earlier, workers of both the factions took to the streets. From Delhi to Patna, the workers of both the groups were busy making allegations and counter allegations against each other. Pashupati Paras is accusing the party of dictatorship. So Chirag Paswan is accusing uncle of betrayal.
