Unrest and anger continue in the country
America’s poorest country has a history of dictatorship and political turmoil has hindered the establishment of democratic rule. Moisey’s assassination took place amid a deepening political and economic crisis in the country and increasing factional violence. Due to the authoritarian rule of Moisi, there was constant instability and anger in the country. Now after the assassination of the President, there is a lot of anger among the citizens of the country.
60 percent of the population earns less than two dollars per day
Factional violence is increasing in the country’s capital Port au Prince. A major reason for this is also rising inflation, while 60 percent of the population in the country earns only two dollars per day. In such a situation, there is a continuous shortage of food and fuel within the country. Let us tell you that these days Haiti is still trying to recover from the devastating earthquake of 2010 and Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
PM Modi expressed grief
