Heavy rains on Monday caused havoc in many areas of Himachal Pradesh. About six houses have been washed away in water due to rain in Woh Valley of Shahpur assembly constituency of Kangra district. So far 12 people are said to be missing. The body of a woman has been recovered. The woman has been identified as Masto Devi wife Bhimo Ram. Some people have been safely evacuated from home.

The people whose houses are on the banks of the river in Woh Valley have been evacuated. Some cowsheds have also collapsed due to heavy rains. Following the orders of DC Kangra Nipun Jindal, the NDRF team has also been called to the spot. The road leading to Woh has also been closed due to the landslide.

Center sent NDRF teams, Shah tweeted the information
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has informed by tweeting that I have spoken to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur regarding the natural calamity caused by heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh. NDRF teams are reaching there soon for relief work. The Ministry of Home Affairs is continuously monitoring the situation. Himachal will be given all possible help from the Centre.
