‘Central government defaming Rajasthan over vaccine wastage’

Minister in the Rajasthan government, Govind Singh said that we have submitted a memorandum to the governor in which it has been said that corona vaccine should be made available free to all. The Center is trying to defame the Congress government in five states by saying that we have failed to stop the wastage of vaccines. He said that the vaccine wastage of our state is 2 per cent whereas at the national level it is 6 per cent.

Delhi: Petition to start hospitals which were closed before the third wave

A petition was filed in the Delhi High Court on Friday, seeking a direction to the Delhi government to take immediate steps to start the hospitals here in view of a possible third wave of COVID-19 and to improve the mohalla clinics. Justice Rekha Palli issued notices to the Center and the Delhi government asking them to clarify their stand on the petition. It has also been requested in the petition that a fair and transparent scheme should be prepared for giving compensation of one crore rupees to the families of frontline warriors who died of Kovid-19 in the line of duty.

Punjab: Vaccines will not be sold to private hospitals

Taking a big decision on Friday, the Punjab government said that the vaccine will no longer be sold to private hospitals. In this regard, a statement issued by the state government said that the order to provide limited one-time vaccine doses through private hospitals to people in the age group of 18 to 44 years stands withdrawn. Private hospitals will have to return all the vaccine doses that are left with them.

17.2 crore people got their first dose of vaccine

Case positivity less than 5% in 377 districts

The Union Health Ministry said that at present the case positivity in 377 districts is less than five percent. The ministry said that if we compare with the figures of May 7, then there has been a decline of 68 percent in daily cases. The maximum number of cases were registered on May 7. 66 per cent of the new cases are effectively coming from five states. This is an indication that we have been successful in controlling the virus locally.

Continually improving recovery rate

The Union Health Ministry said that the recovery rate from corona in the country is increasing continuously. The Joint Secretary of the Ministry, Lav Agarwal told in a press conference that at present the recovery rate is 93.1 percent. He said that the number of such districts is continuously decreasing where on an average 100 new cases are being reported daily. There are 257 districts where more than 100 cases are being reported daily.

If a hospital charges more money than the prescribed rate, the excess amount will be refunded to the patient.

States and Union Territories currently have 1.93 crore doses available

More than 1.93 crore doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine are available with the states and union territories. The Union Health Ministry told about this on Friday. The Center has so far provided more than 24 crore vaccine doses to the states and union territories through the free and direct procurement category. The ministry said that out of this the total consumption including the wasted vaccines is 22,27,33,963.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan made this appeal to the Center

Gehlot tweeted on Friday, “Just as the Central Government had taken over the allocation of Remdesivir injection to the states earlier, similarly the Central Government is also allocating the black fungus injection Amphotericin. States are not getting injections on time, which is causing a lot of trouble to the patients.
