The ministry said that Maharashtra tallied the infection figures in the state for the 14th time, increasing the number of infections in the state by 2,479 and deaths by 3,509.

According to the data, the number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 in the country also increased to 4,07,170, which is 1.30 percent of the total cases. There has been a total increase of 1,040 in the number of patients under treatment in the last 24 hours. The national rate of recovery of patients is 97.36 percent.

According to the data, a total of 44,91,93,273 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, out of which 18,52,140 samples were tested on Tuesday. The daily rate of samples getting infected in the country is 2.27 percent. It is consistently less than three per cent for the last 30 days. The weekly rate of confirmation of infection in samples is 2.09 percent. So far a total of 3,03,90,687 people have become infection free. The death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.34 percent. A total of 41.54 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given in the country so far.
