Bihar has announced to end the lockdown. However, the night curfew will continue. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken this decision in view of the decrease in daily cases of Corona.

Lockdown ends, night curfew will continue
The Chief Minister tweeted, ‘The corona virus infection has come down due to the lockdown. So the lockdown is lifted, but the night curfew will continue from 7 pm to 5 am. Government and private offices will open till evening with 50 percent attendance. Shops will remain open till 5 pm.

He said in the next tweet, ‘Online teaching work can be done. Private vehicles will be allowed to ply. This arrangement will be in place for the next one week. Still need to avoid overcrowding.
In view of the increasing cases of corona virus infection in Bihar, it was decided to impose a lockdown in the state from May 5 to May 15 in a meeting of the Disaster Management Group chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on May 4. But when there was no reduction in the cases, the lockdown was first extended till 25 May and then extending it till 31 May. After this, it was decided to extend the period of lockdown till June 8.
So far 5424 people have lost their lives due to corona virus infection in Bihar due to the death of 43 more persons on Monday. At present 8230 patients of Kovid 19 are under treatment in the state and so far 713879 people have been infected.
