IND vs SA: Suryakumar Yadav’s injury serious, may be ruled out of South Africa series after IPL

Suryakumar Yadav: South Africa team will be on India tour just after IPL. A full 5-match T20 series will be played between both the teams. Team India’s important batsman Suryakumar Yadav is unlikely to play in this series. This has been revealed in the report of a sports website.

According to a report in ‘Inside Sports’, Suryakumar’s injury is serious. In such a situation, he can be kept out of the South Africa series. The report quoted a member of the selection committee as saying, ‘Suryakumar needs rest. His injury is serious. His chances of getting selected in the T20 series against South Africa are negligible. We can’t afford to include him in the team early. We don’t want his injury to get worse due to haste.

Suryakumar Yadav was injured during the Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans match on May 6 at the Brabourne Stadium. He had injured his left arm muscle. Due to the seriousness of the injury, he was ruled out of the rest of the IPL 2022 matches. Earlier, Suryakumar could not even play the opening match of this season. He had to be out of the team due to a thumb injury. He was doing rehab in NCA.

Suryakumar was seen in good rhythm
Suryakumar Yadav was seen in great rhythm this season. He had scored 303 runs in 8 matches at a batting average of 43.29. During this his strike rate was 145.67. He had also hit three fifty this season.
