Dhoni on CSK Defeat: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were face to face in the IPL on Wednesday night. In this match, RCB beat CSK by 13 runs. After the defeat, Chennai captain MS Dhoni looked disappointed with the team’s batting. He attributed the defeat to poor batting. He clearly said that our bowlers bowled well but we were drowned in the batting.
Dhoni said, ‘We did very well by stopping them (RCB) around 170 but we had to lose because of the batting. When you are chasing, instead of playing your shots, you have to see what the situation demands. Had our batting improved even a little, we would not have been in a position to score so many runs in the last over.
Dhoni says, ‘We started well in batting too. We also had wickets. The pitch was also getting better for batting. The problem was that after a while we kept on losing wickets. Calculation is necessary in chasing. When you bat in the middle order, you have to do this work.
Chennai’s seventh defeat
In this match, RCB, batting first, scored 173 runs thanks to the small innings of Kohli (30), Du Plessis (38) and Mahipal (42). In reply, Chennai also started well with a partnership of more than 50 runs for the first wicket. But after this, Chennai lost wickets at regular intervals and the team had to face defeat by 13 runs. This defeat is Chennai’s seventh defeat in this season. Chennai is at 9th position in the points table.
