Talking about the project, a source told Pinkvilla, ‘Nikhil was working with Anurag Kashyap on the script of the Hindi remake of ‘Kill Bill’ during the entire lockdown. Both these actors are calling it a tribute to the original film and both have finalized a script. The script is one that does justice to Quentin Tarantino’s directorial legacy. Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step forward on the casting front and have started talks with Kriti Sanon to play the lead role.
The source further added, ‘This is the character of a killer, who is said to be the deadliest woman in the world. Putting the action aside, there is a strong undercurrent of revenge and emotion running through the story, just like the original film.’
Regarding the shooting schedule, the source told the entertainment portal that, ‘The film may start early next year, however, it all depends on the COVID-19 scenario.’ The portal has also shared that along with Kriti, two more actresses are likely to be roped in in the lead roles.
